Burg Polle, Niedersachsen – Germany
Based on German’s story published by the Brothers Grimm, Cinderella once lived here. The original name in German is Asschunputtle: The Little Cinder Girl and it became Cinderella when the fairytale was translated to French.
Cinderella! who’s the girl in this world who doesn’t want to go back to the past and meet the real Cinderella!?? I think, every girl wants it! umm..atleast, me..I want! 😀
I packed my bag and go. Alone. Solo. I am a Solo traveller.
Not that bad thou, I had sweet experiences.

I went with Schoene Wochenende ticket, which literally means..Weekend ticket. Some friends were afraid to go because they feared of the rain, some were busy with their homeworks, and my last hope..she said, her monthly thing just came. But, the show must go. I was just hoping for the best.
The officer in ICE train said “you cant go to Hannover with this train!”,
“why??”,
“you have weekend ticket. You can go only with the SLOWER train. Not THIS train!”
“why?”
“you have to go down in the next station and get the SLOWER train”
“why?”
———-
anyway, i went down and caught the Metronom 😀
It was my mistake, I didnt ask before I get into the train.
From Hannover I catched the other train to Emmerthal and then from there…there is a bus number 520 direct to the Burg Polle. The weekend ticket covers everything, including the local train and the bus. I brought my own food, so I didnt spend money there. Free entrance for the castle too.
I was expecting the play of the cinderella, because it was the third sunday of the month (the website said so), but..there was no play that day. But ist gut..ist gut..
The view along the way was awesome, relaxing and..i like such kind of nature. I saw the other side of Germany.
The yellow canola made the view was simply perfect!
The weather was nice, no rainfall..the sun was shining..and people were nice. I met very kind Germans, the men and ladies. I got lost, as usual, and they were helping me. I am with my few German words. For me..the journey was most interesting.
The burg itself, well.. Continue reading
